Yankee Building Movers - a local family owned and operated business  with traditional Yankee values

While Yankee Building Movers enjoys moving any type of structure, we are particularly interested in helping to save the depleting supply of historic structures here in New England and especially in our home state of New Hampshire.  We strive to give the best possible price to make any move affordable and will work with our clients to help them find alternate sources of funding for their moves.

Anyone can tell you that they don't build houses like they use to and that is exactly why we strive to work with clients to

save as many of these precious historic structures as possible.

We also specialize in jacking homes that have been damaged by floods so new foundations can be built and raising camps/homes that are currently on posts that need full foundations or slabs.
Company history

Owner Rich McCormack has been moving buildings since

1969 after returning home as a young Marine from the Vietnam War.

After working several years for award winning movers, Northeast Building Movers and Expert House Movers of MD, Rich and his family have formed their own local business right here in his native NH to especially help protect some of our finest historic buildings from demolition.

Customer testimonials

"Richie McCormack has done 2 jobs for me. One was a large barn lift on the This Old House project. The other was a major renovation on Beacon Hill in Boston. It involved holding in place the 2nd, 3d and 4th floor of a brick unit so work could be done on the first floor. Both jobs were done on time and professionally. We are planning on using Richie again in the near future. "
