Road Move
While road moves are typically few and far between, Yankee Building Movers has the experience and equipment necessary to complete them. Here is our most recent road move completed up in Craftsbury Commons, Vermont. This antique farm house was moved onto the Common from just down the road to prevent a modern home from being built on the last vacant lot on the Common.
Pulling onto the Road
Here the old farmhouse is pulled out of it's yard and onto the road on its first leg of the journey.
Tight Fit
While some trees and limbs had to be cut to allow the house to fit down the road, many others were saved by gently pulling back branches to allow the house to squeeze through.

Utility workers waited patiently for the house to approach the wires which were dropped and reattached, all completed in less than 30 minutes.

Old Home, New Site
Our boys smiling for the camera after a job well done. The farmhouse was relocated to its new home on the Town Common in 4 hours from the time it left it's former location.
